| The Food Sense Program of Cortland County-Homer Site: The Food Sense Program is designed to increase self-sufficiency by helping individuals stretch their food dollars. Monthly Food Sense packages are generated by the Food Bank in Syracuse and distributed by individual sites on specific dates. A food unit includes 10 - 12 items including fresh fruits and vegetables, meats (4 - 5 different ones each month), and staple food items and costs only $15.50. Participants pre-pay with cash or an EBT card at the beginning of the month and pick up their food at the end of the month. Questions? Call Carol Dodd at 749-4163. |
